The Clan House

The Clan House (also known more simply as “the Tree”) is our clan’s project to build a home for ourselves in the lands of exile. The Clan House is currently located in the Arbordale housing complex in North Field, and we meet in it every other Sunday, taking turns to decorate it as we see fit.

All full members of the clan are entitled to house keys which allow access to the Tree, as well as the ability to move furniture around. If you don’t have a key yet, talk to another member that does, and they can make a copy for you.

We also have another house that we use for storage of our many seasonal decorations (including the famous Santa’noth). If you need access, ask Fleming or Lundar.

How to Contribute

Here are some ways you can contribute to the Clan House:

• Donate moneyThe easiest way to contribute to the Clan House is to donate money. We need about 800 coins an rl month to keep the housing fees up-to-date, plus whatever we need for furniture, so any coins you could spare would be appreciated. Donations can be payed directly to Arbordale or to the clan bank account.
• Donate furnitureOur Clan House wouldn’t be very interesting if it weren’t for all the furniture that’s used to decorate it. If you come across a nice piece of of furniture in one of the stores, or have a trophy of some rare creature, donate it to the Clan House!
• Vote on the SentinelThe current houses at Arbordale are nice, but they could always be better. Make suggestions of how to improve housing at the Sentinel forums, andpetition the gods to implement those changes.
• Help decorateEvery other week we choose a new Dekor’dan– a person responsible for decorating the Clan House for that moon. The Dekor’dan is provided with a small stipend(usually around 3000 coins, but may vary) that they can use to purchase new furniture for the Clan House. Volunteer to be a Dekor’dan, and help keep our Clan House looking spiffty!

The following are snapshots of some of the older designs that ELF members have come up with for the Clan House. When it’s your turn to decorate the Tree, it can be very helpful to draw upon the inspiration of past Dekor’dans. It is hoped that the Clan House will eventually incorporate all of the best features from previous designs, arriving at the best possible design.
